HeyAuto aims to solidify dealer-customer bonds and attract additional users by introducing the "Partner Offers" feature.

PROJECT DETAILS

HeyAuto is a SaaS vehicle marketplace that empowers users to buy new or used cars from dealerships, and auction their vehicles off to them. To deepen dealer-client ties and attract more users, HeyAuto is looking to introduce a new feature called "Partner Offers."  As the sole product designer on this project, I developed this feature in just over a month and handed it off for development after completing the first stage.

Lead UX/UI Designer

THE SOLUTION

Developing a marketplace of promotional offers from both dealerships and local or large-scale businesses to strengthen their relationship with users, increase overall customer satisfaction, and increase user retention for HeyAuto.

Improving HeyAuto's user experience with personalized rewards and local partnerships to boost satisfaction, retention, and engagement.

GOAL NUMBER 01

Increase user satisfaction and retention for HeyAuto.

GOAL NUMBER 02

Strengthen the growing relationships between partners, dealerships, and customers.

GOAL NUMBER 03

Provide personalized offers to customers as incentives for using the platform and uploading their vehicles.

GOAL NUMBER 04

Empower local businesses to promote themselves by enabling them to upload offers targeted at HeyAuto users in their area.

MY APPROACH

A tailored offers page for users based on their connected vehicles that prioritizes affiliated dealership offers, while partners and dealerships can manage their own portals.

MY APPROACH

In addressing the problem, I began by creating a streamlined flow that encompassed the customer, partner, dealership, and HeyAuto administration sides. Given that this was an integration within the website, it was crucial to avoid separate accounts for partners and consumers, allowing any consumer to join the partner program and post offers from their business.

This approach also ensured seamless integration with the dealer portal and the existing HeyAuto administration portal. To optimize the onboarding process, I assessed the current flow and identified the essential elements for viewing and posting offers, considering what could be added at a later stage.

As this was a new feature build without pre-existing data for decision-making, relying on personal intuition and secondary research became vital to the development process.

The objective was to design a personalized offers page for users based on their connected vehicles. The page would categorize offers by type and prioritize those from the user's affiliated dealership. Users could easily access all of their saved offers and retrieve the corresponding promotion code or QR code. In addition, users could switch between their own and partner accounts to upload offers from their business. Partners would have their own portal to view analytics, upload and reactivate offers, and more. Dealerships could also post offers directly from their account and portal.

NEXT STEPS

Adopting a microservicing architecture, launching subscription-based products, and enhancing Partner Offers to expand reach, increase revenue, and attract a wider audience.

NEXT STEPS

Hey Auto is in the process of transitioning its features to a microservicing architecture and introducing subscription-based products. This change will impact partner offers, as we plan to establish a base partner subscription at $20/month and a higher-tier pro subscription. We are currently exploring the potential benefits of the pro subscription, such as expanding the offer location range to attract increased views and a broader customer base.
